B. Fischadler, and David Harrison. Readers will also find other resources for the budding mad scientist, including an advice column, horoscopes, and other brief messages from mad scientists.

About the Authors

Jimmy Bernard

Jimmy Bernard is a 25-year-old writer with a degree in applied psychology. He works as an HR analyst and writes stories in his spare time. Besides writing, he plays guitar and spends most of his time reading. He resides in Belgium and visits Professor Fowler, a very old friend of his, at least twice a month, to discuss some of the new cases he has uncovered.

Andy Brown

Andy Brown is a musician and entertainer living near Edinburgh in Scotland. (He doesn't currently own a kilt but does play bagpipes a little.) He is a pleasant enough fellow with a healthy interest in many things and an obsessive interest in many others. (Music, computers, astronomy, reading, writing…) He plays a wide variety of instruments to a wide variety of standards. His greatest happiness is his family and the fact that he wakes every morning still breathing. His greatest sadness is that he might die before warp travel, teleportation, and Klingons are discovered.

Calvin Demmer

Calvin Demmer is a crime, mystery, and speculative fiction author. When not writing, he is intrigued by that which goes bump in the night and the sciences of our universe. His work has appeared in a variety of publications, including Sanitarium Magazine, Morpheus Tales, and Mystery Weekly Magazine.

Kate Elizabeth

Kate Elizabeth lives in Melbourne, Australia. When she isn't working, she likes to write the occasional short story.

Sean Frost

Sean Frost is a software developer in Michigan, who writes comics and stories while watching horror and science fiction movies. He lives with four demanding cats and a very understanding wife. It is entirely likely that he has a few too many hobbies.

Chris Marchant

Chris Marchant currently lives in County Cavan, Ireland, with her boyfriend and far too many cats. She mostly writes science fiction and fantasy with some horror, YA, and historical thrown in. She is active on Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest. Her website is www.chrismarchantwriter.com. She has stories out in two anthologies, with two more stories in anthologies coming out later this year. More details about those can be found on her website.

John A. McColley

John A. McColley claims to be a recent father of three, living at the edge of a three-hundred-acre wood. Evidence mounts that he, too, has lost touch with reality after months of sleep deprivation, spinning tales of mechanical men and magic. He reports waking many times a night to the screaming of very cute, but very angry, tiny, twin demons who demand milk and diaper changes.

Alanna McFall

Alanna McFall is an actor and science-fiction writer based out of the Bay Area in California. She has published pieces on Mad Scientist Journal, Escape Pod, Alliteration Ink, and many more, across a range of mediums. You can follow her work on her website at https://alannamcfall.wordpress.com or on Twitter at @AlannaMcFall.

Candida Spillard

Candida Spillard is a lapsed physicist, having researched for over twenty years into the effect the weather has on radio wave reception.
She has a passion for all things environmental, self-sufficient, or just plain eccentric.
She has sometimes been used for the purposes of Mad Science, but has never knowingly come to harm.
The family do not, in fact, have any known links to the West Indies but there are rumours, on her mother's side, of a Princess of the Raj marrying a British officer during those enlightened times before the Victorians put a stop to this sort of thing.

Deborah Walker

Deborah Walker grew up in the most English town in the country, but she soon high-tailed it down to London, where she now lives with her partner, Chris, and her two young children. Find Deborah in the British Museum trawling the past for future inspiration or on her blog: http://deborahwalkersbibliography.blogspot.com/. Her stories have appeared in Nature’s Futures, Cosmos, Daily Science Fiction, and The Year’s Best SF 18.
