Developed and wrote their fantasy roleplaying game, Spell-Slingers and Sword-Saints.

Steve Jackson Games - August 2002 to September 2003 - Newshound
Provided pro bono research regarding news events in the roleplaying game industry for use in their weekly online publication, Pyramid.

Guardians of Order – January 2003 to Present – Contract Writer
Provided research and writing for their Game of Thrones Roleplaying Game and Authority Companion Sourcebook.

The Shoggoth Network - June 2001 to January 2003 - Content Editor
Wrote and solicited content for a Web site dedicated to 1920s pulp horror writer, H.P. Lovecraft.

Fred Meyer – August 2001 to Present – Teller
Fred Meyer is a department store chain in the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities include bookkeeping and issuing out funds to the sales force. Also held position in loss prevention.

The Cobalt Group – August 1996 to May 2001 – Production Assistant
The Cobalt Group is a leading provider of e-business products and services for the automotive industry. Duties and accomplishments at this company included the following:

  • Wrote copy for company newsletter, employee training manual and Web sites.
  • Mentored a group of 5 interns in writing and basic PERL and JavaScript.
  • Spearheaded research into options for a corporate intranet.
  • Researched supporting information using the Internet and phone interviews.
  • Constructed interfaces for commercial web sites using HTML, JavaScript and PERL.
  • Tested functionality of Web sites and Web utilities using both white- and black-box methods.

  • School of Visual Concepts – Attended courses in beginning copywriting, writing body copy, and copywriting for the Web.
  • University of Washington – 1993 – 1995 – Completed two years towards a four-year degree. Entered with a major in pre-engineering. Later majored in English.
